Gypsum production line is utilizing the high frequency vibration of cylinder. The steel ball or steel bar medium in the cylinder impacts materials by inertia force. When medium impacts the materials, the acceleration can be 10-159. In the same diameter and graduation of the gypsum powder production equipments, the productivity when the steel bar is used as medium is higher than the productivity when the steel ball is used. When the steel ball is used as medium, grinding time will be longer to achieve the same powder particle size. However, the steel ball can achieve more fine particle size.
Common medium of vibration mill is the steel bar with sound 16 to 36 mm. After carburizing and quenching, the surface hardness of steel bar can be above HRC55. When the feeding grain size is more that 15mm, the larger diameter should be chosen. When the feeding grain size is less than 15mm, the smaller diameter can be chosen and it is better to use mixed gradation with two kinds of different diameter steel bars in the gypsum production line.
